How to Control your PC With Twitter



There are many ways to remote control PC on market. You can shutdown your PC via sms message, Gmail... If you own the Twitter account, you can remote control PC through Twitter by TweetMyPC.

TweetMyPC is a little software-application for Windows, written in VB.Net using the .Net-Framework v3.5 SP1, which allows you to control and access your computer from anywhere by simply sending a twitter-message with a special command as its content.

1. Download and install

Go to Tweetmypc Post Direct Download Link Post and click Install



Once installed, launch the application and sign in with your Twitter account.


Click Sign in with Twitter > Authorize app



A popup dialog appears, enter your Pin number to verify.



Now you are ready to send a command to your PC from your Twitter account. To find available commands, go to About and select Basic Command List.

Just Tweet a command on your Twitter



TweetmyPC will send the command to shutdown your PC, also post the tweet on your twitter page.

On your computer, once the command is received, TweetMyPC will acknowledge the instruction with a notification popup.

Conclusion

Since TweetMyPC is using Twitter as your command channel, you may want to create a special account only for this purpose, and to set every tweet on privacy mode. This is to avoid tweet spam and any potential tracking of your personal computer. You can change tweet privacy from your Twitter settings page.
