Easy Steps to turn on Wifi Hotspot on Window 7


You have got a wireless network at home, but if you are at school, work or elsewhere with only the wired network connection. You have ever want to get Nexus 7, Kindle Fire HD or any devices with wireless connected. On Windows 7, you can turn it into a WiFi hotspot and share its wireless connection with your device via an Ad Hoc network. Don't need install the third party software.


Step 1: Wireless card that isn't currently connected

Step 2: A hard wired Ethernet connection

Step 3: Click the wired network connection icon in the System Tray and select "Open Network and Sharing Center".


Step 4: Click "Set up a new connection or network"

Step 5: Choose "Set up a wireless ad hoc"

Step 6: The Wireless Ad Hoc Network wizard will start up. Click Next.


Step 7: On the next screen give your ad hoc network a name, select your security type, and enter a security key. If you’re in a public place, I recommend WPA2 for best security of your network. Remember check "Save this network"


Step 8: Wait a few seconds and your ad hoc network will be ready to use.

Step 9: Click the connection icon in the system tray, you’ll see the network you just created in the Waiting for users.

Step 10: Now you come back "Network and Sharing Center" > select "Change adapter settings"

Step 11: Right click at "Local area connection" icon > select "Properties" Then check “Allow Other Network Users to Connect Through this Computer’s Internet Connection” and click OK.
