Facebook Launched New Verified Pages And Profiles Feature
Now A days social networks sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc launches new features and facilities day by day. As we all know that twitter has a verified mark in famous person and celebrities profile, so, few days ago, Facebook also launched new feature that verified pages and profile of celebrities, we can simply get idea by viewing below image that Facebook get idea from Twitter.
Are you a celebrity with a large online audience? Soon, Facebook’s verification feature will determine just how famous you are. The company announced Wednesday that it’s rolling out a new verification feature for prominent celebrities and public figures, obviously quite similarly to Twitter’s verified feature.
The company said that verification would be available for a “small group of prominent public figures (celebrities, journalists, government officials, popular brands and businesses) with large audiences,” and that it will begin rolling out slowly.
Twitter has been verifying celebrities and notable people on its platform for years now, and some of those people, particularly celebrities and musicians, have amassed strong followings on Twitter. Facebook has been trying to create more of that relationship between celebrities and fans with its “following” feature for pages and the latest news feed redesign that provides a tab to follow public figures.
The verification will appear next to a user’s profile with a blue check mark (that also looks very much like the Twitter version):

Now We can see 2nd below image of Indian film star “Amitabh Bachchan” Facebook page, there is blue verified mark, when you hover over the cursor on it then tool-tip appear with text “Verified Page” or “Verified Profile”.
Many times people cannot decide that which page is real and which is fake, so this feature will help us to like and follow real celebrities pages and profiles as well.
So, now if you think, that you want to verify your profile or page, then you will be not able to request for it, because Facebook doesn’t provide this features to all Facebook user that means only celebrities can get verified page and profile.
